The Squid Medal is an optional item that can be obtained by defeating Micren without taking damage. In-game, it's merely decorative and doesn't do anything.
Normal description
SQUID MEDAL: a medal with the silhouette of a squid engraved onto it. A gift from Micren for beating him unscathed.
Selected description
It has no use, however. Except maybe as a bragging rights reward.

- It's a reference to the Alien Medal from Cave Story (and Ikachan, both games have Ironhead as a boss).
